Change back to Quad9 DNS from Cloudfare Malware DNS after using the latter for a couple of weeks. Quad9 clearly wins hands-down.

How did you test it? Last time I checked, Quad9 was like 10-30% and Cloudflare Malware was 90%.

I set Quad 9 on my desktop about 6 months ago, a month ago some web pages started taking longer to open so I used DNS Bench to test. Quad 9 was the slowest and it wasn't even close ( they may have been having issues the day I took the test to be that slow, don't know) anyways my ISP's DNS was fastest so i switched back to it.

I made the change on my experience browsing the web. I didn't formally test it

Have you considered and alternative, since it was last updated in 2022? Wise memory can be installed via store, so it is updated and signed.

Periodic malware scanners: KVRT

If you have to redownload it each time, would not be CureIt! better? It uses a randomized name and it is not signed, so malware can not detect it. Though, it is 3 times bigger.
I myself can not even run KVRT. They "improved" it, but it only proves my point, they do not need malware to block it, it is too elaborate, so it can be easily broken.
