Hi - I have three things going on....#1 is the worst! #1: http://ad.doubleclick.net - that (fake) address shows up in Chrome browser address bar as my clicks on Google search links are redirected to ad portals or sometimes blocked entirely from accessing a requested page. A few others out in the blogosphere have also had this issue, but I am not feeling confident about trying any of the many suggested remedies. Don’t want to make it worse….. It’s somewhere deep in the system; I just don’t know how to find it and remove it. Scans by YAC and Malwarebytes also pointed out two previously unknown threats, but weren't able to quarantine and/or eradicate them. #2: POWERPREPIIV2_2 Visible as in icon on the desktop but file name doesn't show up anywhere on the computer except the destop, where apparently it is constantly running, but it can’t be opened or accessed. And oh yeah, it refuses to be closed or deleted or moved into trash. Can’t figure out how to find it in the system to remove it… # 3: putfu.exe Identified by Kaspersky as: Trojan.Win32.Agent.afsax – but Kaspersky was unable to quarantine or remove it and I can’t find it on the system. If you have any guidance, I'd be interested in hearing from you. :D
