Basically, PSafe has managed to get the Brazilian Justice to order Baidu to remove their DU Speed Booster smartphone app from Google's app store. PSafe claims the Baidu app damages PSafe's image -- upon inspecting the user's smartphone Baidu DU Speed Booster suggests that the user is at risk by having PSafe's product in their smartphone. The judge who signed the decision affirms that Baidu has failed to comply with an earlier ruling that they must remove the warning that says PSafe is a threat. The new ruling also dictates Baidu will have to recant and allow users to reinstall the PSafe app from within the Baidu app. Failure to comply will generate R$100,000.00 in daily fines (approximately $35,000.00 US dollars). The app is still available for download, and Baidu claim they have not been officially notified yet.
Qihoo is one of three funds to have invested together R$30,000,000.00 (roughly $10,000,000.00 US dollars) in PSafe in 2013. The battle between Baidu and Qihoo has been raging since 2002.
