Hello. For several months, Google Chrome on my Windows 8 laptop (at work) has been infected with the GoSSave 2.0 extension (my other regular browser, Firefox, has not been affected). I have attempted to remove it via Add/Remove Programs, Malwarebytes and clicking the trash can in the Extensions menu, but only the latter works on a temporary basis. Each day when I start up the computer and open Chrome, I need to manually remove it. For the last few weeks, I've also gotten a pop-up screen when I open Chrome with the header: Disable developer mode extension, which is followed by this text: Extensions running in developer mode can harm your computer. If you're not a developer, you should disable these extensions running in developer mode to stay safe. This screen includes two buttons: Disable and Cancel Also note that any ads that pop up indicate Ad by GoSave (with only one "S" as opposed to two in the extension name). Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to permanently remove this extension, using free software if at all possible. Note that I will be out of the office on Friday, so if no one is able to follow-up on this today (which is perfectly understandable), I will check back with you on Monday. Thank you. Rich K
