I started having problems about 2-3 days ago. This morning I saw the ADWCleaner fix and it worked wonderfully until I tried to open up Overdrive Media Center (OMC). I've had this application on my computer for several years and the last update with September 3, I have had no issues until this week. I have tried twice today to use the program and both times I was INSTANTLY infected. I double-checked my link which is the same as it ever was, and that the program is correct. Norton said that it blocked the virus but it was not fully gone, however, I seemed to get fewer of the surrogates and they deleted easier, only had to get a couple and all would disappear. I am visually impaired and must use this program to download audio books from my local library system. I'm not prepared to give it up entirely, so will activate it minimally to download/return books and then run the Cleaner. And of course, I will keep up with my virus scans and the information here. Thanks so much for the ADWCleaner link -- it was fantastic until I tried to use OMC. BTW, I found I was blocked from downloading until I checked my Internet Security Options. I had to "reset to default" and then when I become infected they change to "custom". Hope this tidbit helps someone.
