Last weekend I noticed that Windows Defender hadn't updated for 2 days. I tried to update manually with no success. When I checked in the 'security center', WD had been turned off. Other than this, my system was and is running normally apart from a drop in disk memory. I seem to have lost about 3GB in a week. Nothing I've done in that time period would have used up that much memory. It doesn't make sense. I ran Malwarebytes and Kaspersky [Free versions] and they didn't find anything. I managed to switch Windows Defender back on and it has been running normally since. But I'm wondering if there are other virus scan tools that I could run that are more effective? I've reached the limit of my computer abilities and need advice. Should I be concerned? Thanks.
