Instead of relying on someone else's settings, I recommend exploring the "about:config" page yourself and researching individual settings to understand their purpose and potential impact. This way, you can tailor your Firefox experience to your specific needs and security concerns.

Exactly that. Proton seems to be much faster. Privacy-wise I would still slightly lean towards Mullvad.

In my case all the about:config settings I use are pretty basic and shouldn't impact the browsing experience in any way. But yeah, it's a rabbit hole that everyone should explore by themselves.

During the short time I tried Proton, it seemed to use a lot of Memory, it surprised me. Maybe its because it has a more advanced UI and settings than Mullvad? Adding up Mullvad's RAM came to ~210 MB.

BTW & fwiw, this morning with mullvad, 3 different US locations are report "leaking DNS servers" using the mullvad connection checker. I see this sometimes, but not on 3 different locations in a row... o_O

Firefox will keep supporting APIs required for MV2 adblockers to work so that users don't have to downgrade to a less capable MV3 adblocker. Using a MV3 adblocker in Firefox feels like undermining the work done by the Firefox team to keep MV2 adblockers alive while still adopting MV3 :unsure:

True, but I just wanted a simple adblocker without a bunch of settings... Will probably switch back in the future anyway. You know me. 😅

Renewed my Deep Instinct subscription.

Sent an email to my reseller 5 minutes ago and asked them to downgrade from 2 devices to one device. Received an answer 2 minutes later. Really glad that I found those guys.

You gonna go for the renewal too? @Shadowra
