Modification:

• Installed Spyware Blaster Free (purely for IE11 usage)
• Disabled Windows Search, replaced it with Agent Ransack
• Removed Cyberfox x64 along with residue leftovers (used a Mozilla KB article)... potential return via USB

NOTE:

• I anticipate no more changes in relation to install/re-install/un-install (you know how it is with computers, anticipation is almost as dangerous as assumption).
• Apart from PeerBlock un-install, Cyberfox x64 portable install and Zemana Antimalware trial result... nothing else should get in my way to start reading up on *nix...

Modification:

• Re-installed NoVirusThanks - EXE Radar Pro
• Re-installed Emsisoft Antimalware: after the fiasco that Avira Free caused, more specifically the upgrade to 2015 Free (automatic and manual updates didn't want to work... then the program uninstall left parts behind, so had to manually remove directories and registry entries - got 'em all tho'!!!)
• Cancelled my usage of Comodo Cleaning Essentials and Emsisoft Emergency Toolkit (as per above)
• Bumped MBAM and ZAM back to on-demand (run when required)

Note: still working with Ghostery devs to figure out why the IE 11 Ghostery version does not load in Sandboxie...

Yeah, it's always been a topic of conversation... whenever Shadow Defender and Sandboxie are concerned... which ones, what combo, what to do?!

I love the fact that Sandboxie does protection based on application (can use forced folders / programs to extend protection coverage, but this requires constant maintenance of rules). I love the fact that Shadow Defender does protection system-wide, with very minimal settings manipulation. You've definitely given me something to think about @Moose, especially since I am still waiting for Ghostery developers to give me a debug build of Ghostery for IE 11 (issues getting Ghostery into SBIE).

Because of the Ghostery drama, I have been running Shadow Defender all the time, since I cannot use IE 11 in a sandbox properly due to that extension. I think I might need a beer or 10 to figure this one out... lol!

EDIT: mmmmm loving the Commit Now tab in Shadow Defender...

What the hell is FireFox Ultimate?!
The only one above that I have used before is CyberFox, unless FireFox Ultimate is the standard one provided by Mozilla?

With all that's happening in relation to WebRTC, superfish etc... broken SSL, vulnerable HTTPS; I am sorta' put off swapping browser usage from IE to something else. However, I do need an alternative. The stuff I just mentioned has broken my trust with all the security addons in Firefox, like spoofing user agent, x-forward, canvas protection, dephorm etc...

Now, in this day and age, the only worthy ones would be NoScript, plus maybe two others... RequestPolicy and DoNotTrack (maybe).

It also brings up the question about how much is too much - how much leash do we give the browser, the one app that could destroy the users machine: I have nothing included "inside" IE. I have installers for ads (AdGuard), trackers (Ghostery) and ActiveX/cookies (SpywareBlaster) which I monitor on the side. The custom-side of Firefox allows lotsa' tweaks and addons. Even if the user selects "do not update addons automatically", doesn't update search engines, doesn't check for program updates etc... with all the addons made by people we assume are there for us, isn't this an invisible and often taken for granted threat vector?

I just installed these 5 browsers into a sandbox. I think I will have fun tinkering with them. Now all I gotta' figure out is how to make Windows 7 Firewall rules commit for sandboxed browsers...

I too like Cyberfox. There is also another browser (imho) worth mentioning called Pale Moon www.palemoon.org I use their portable version. Drawbacks are only (2) for those who'd consider the following as even drawbacks. Pale Moon must use a fork of Adblock Plus called Adblock Latitudes https://addons.palemoon.org/extensions/privacy-and-security/adblock-latitude/ which appears to work well, & (I believe) HTTPS Everywhere does not currently work.

Well, I have taken it upon myself to be my own source of comedy relief. This approach allows me to nerf all the sooky sooky la la and whinging from random people. If one cannot make ones self laugh out loud, then one should be locked in a box... I briefly tried Pale Moon a fair while back... to be honest, it didn't tickle my fancy enough to become a permanent addition to my software list. To me, it felt like it was created just for the sake of creating something.

Ahhh Waterfox, I will see how I go with these 5 browsers; well, make that 4 browsers. I just uninstalled Cyberfox from the sandbox. I didn't like the fact that it wanted UDP access to 53 and 1900. I don't believe a browser should be allowed to fire off such requests. Allowed? (one could set up firewall block rules, but hey... that isn't a solution.)

Would anyone know why WebRTC, Superfish etc... do not apply to Internet Explorer? All the pages I read show fixes for Chrome and Firefox, but IE is not mentioned. Just curious for an official reason, good to know these things.

@Marin Eres, I believe far fewer extensions have been developed specifically for Internet Explorer. One example has been LastPass which required me to install it's available binary program whereas all other browsers merely require the extension to be added. I've also read Microsoft will be completely redesigning IE while also easing into transition of it's flagship browser's replacement in the near furture.
On the other hand, Sandboxie (you may know) was originally developed to address vulnerabilities in IE hence it's name "Sandbox-ie"!

I had a hunch it might've had something to do with the lack of acceptance on IE's part of extensions and addons. I ended up ditching LastPass for IE. Did you notice, even though the installer specifically mentions a tick-box for Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla WANTS the addon instead! I really am looking forward to the Windows 10 version of IE.

At the moment, I am perving on the various settings in each of these 4 browsers, before I make an assault on Fire* about:config entries (the Ch* based browser will be a learning curve... I am yet to try Google Chrome, albeit one based on Chromium!). Just a quick note, I had to disable AdGuard protection for SeaMonkey, since all pages I browsed brought up certificate errors.
