This test shows how an antivirus behaves with certain threats, in a specific environment and under certain conditions. We encourage you to compare these results with others and take informed decisions on what security products to use. Before buying an antivirus you should consider factors such as price, ease of use, compatibility, and support. Installing a free trial version allows an antivirus to be tested in everyday use before purchase.
Hi, I don't like AV-Test points system, if you click on a single product sheet you can see detalied results but the assignment of 0 to 6 points does not correspond to the detailed results. In performance Test, for example, Eset and F-secure all have the highest score but the detailed results are different.

I agree the overview may be oversimplified, but at least they provide you with the more detailed information they used if you want to drill down. Most people reading those reports or AV-Comparatives probably just look for 6s, or Advanced+ for AV-Comparatives, and call it a day.
I would also note these recent improved results for Malwarebytes line up with The PC Security Channel's last results which were surprisingly good as well. I don't really worry about his extra ransomware tests that disable multiple components of security apps.
