You need real-time protection, and a couple of independant on-demand scanners.

ESET Online Scanner requires an Internet connection before a scan is initiated. It won't scan, if you are offline.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not an Antivirus, but can used alongside one of your choice.

If you haven't installed a third-party antivirus, you should have enabled Windows Defender (Windows 7) by default but it does not offer adequate protection.
So a complete and reliable antivirus it's necessary.

I would suggest at least a free AV such as Avast.
Malwarebytes and ESET Online Scanner for on demand use
uBlock in place of Adblock
Consider adding Sandboxie also

You may consider an AV which are full blown or a companion AV (Crystal Security, Webroot or Voodoshield as part of reference detection) in order to be aware on possible prevention case.

Or go to lockdown hardening mechanism like Appguard or anti EXE Exe Radar Pro.
