An excellent question and debate!!! Agree with both of these statements 100 % "I have nothing to hide" ....... Many probably make this statement because they have nothing to say. I myself have nothing to hide and I would hope those I interact with on a daily basis can say the same. Everyone has a right to their privacy but in today's world most of us voluntarily jeopardize that right everyday. Does it make you a "paranoid" person if you take whatever steps you feel necessary to protect you and your families privacy and security? Absolutely not. Are some overly paranoid? Absolutely. Are some overly paranoid because they have something to hide? Absolutely not. "Spying" is a term thrown about as much as the "I have nothing to hide" statement. Is "Big Brother" "spying" on everyone? Hardly. Are some "spying" techniques necessary (depending on where you live) to protect your right to privacy, security and safety? Absolutely 100%
