Advice Request Surprise with Mcafee !!

My Bitdefender license runs out and I activate Mcfee Total Protection that wins in a contest.
I had never tried Mcfee and the reviews I had here and several reviews I did not like, but honestly I am pleasantly impressed with this suite!
After several tests does not disappoint and they work perfectly !!

McAfee has been making steady improvements. Also their new C level people have made it clear they want to move back to a security focus and less on marketing and product acquisition.

Also it is very cheap, which is a big benefit. Keep in mind, McAfee is widely targeted by nefarious actors because it's use is pretty high and federal/DOD employees basically get it for free. So you may find some malware fairly well adept at bypassing McAfee.

mcafee does not say it has a behavior blocker.

McAfee is among the worst of the common AVs.

McAfee = Low Mediocrity.

It's been 'improving' for about 15 years... but it never really improves.

I would not let my dog run CrapAfee on her computer.

To be clear.... I have nothing against McAfee, and in fact, I have a friend who works for McAfee. But... for those who are new or don't look at test results -- I don't want them to think that McAfee is a comparable capability to the AVs that are actually very good.

But as always.... you should run whatever AV makes you happy.

Cheers, I actually wanted to check another product there.
I haven’t used McAffee in a personal machine since the 80s so I really don’t know if it’s good or bad 30 years down the road
