Hello TwinHeadedEagle Thank you for your reply. I have attached the two .txt files according to your advise. FYI...Before you replied: I followed the typical uninstall procedure in the add/remove programs, I then ran CC cleaner and Malware Bytes. MalwareBytes found no problems. I then checked the following folders: %programfiles% and %appdata% to delete any left overs from Total System Care. I found two folders relating to Total System Care which I deleted. I then checked for any left over entries in the Windows Registry but I couldn't see anything relating to Total System Care. I checked the following keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node I then emptied temp folder which contains any temp files. I then rebooted in safe mode, did a disc clean up, reebooted back in normal mode, ran a scan using Microsoft Security Essentials and another scan using Malware bytes. No problems were detected in any of the scans. Many thanks. Rich
