Absolutely, MATLAB can indeed be resource-intensive depending on the complexity of the tasks. But for standard university-level projects, the Cleo 2025 should handle it well.

I like the arc gpu here, its cheap and perfect for light gaming. One day i will grab one, when i build my next pc.

My friend has to do her CFD on her Uni allocated laptop which runs on a Celeron. She's super good at optimization now.
The Uni has had huge problems with research results being stolen so they only allow research on specially locked down devices.
My PC can find the best 2-deep search tour of 40 nodes for the traveling salesman in real-time and that's about the most demanding thing I've had to do on it.
Even FFT on the biggest matrices Windows MATLAB allows is space limited before it gets slow.
I have a pretty nice personal laptop with an RTX 5080 but it's too good as MATLAB's CUDA libraries aren't compatible (yet) even with the "enable forward compatibility" flag set.
