Lol mat lab definitely isn't necessarily light

My friend has to do her CFD on her Uni allocated laptop which runs on a Celeron. She's super good at optimization now. ;)
The Uni has had huge problems with research results being stolen so they only allow research on specially locked down devices.
My PC can find the best 2-deep search tour of 40 nodes for the traveling salesman in real-time and that's about the most demanding thing I've had to do on it.
Even FFT on the biggest matrices Windows MATLAB allows is space limited before it gets slow.
I have a pretty nice personal laptop with an RTX 5080 but it's too good as MATLAB's CUDA libraries aren't compatible (yet) even with the "enable forward compatibility" flag set.
