Hello, in my Windows 10 laptop I'm having difficulty connecting to the internet in safe mode with networking. I can't click the troubleshooting button, because my laptop doesn't allow it in safe mode. Is there a way to solve this issue without having to resort to do a repair install or do I contact my ISP?
Resetting Windows has already been done.
Hello! There are a few things you can try to resolve this issue:
1. Manually reset your network settings:
a. Open the command prompt as an administrator.
b. Type in the command "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
c. Restart your computer and see if you can connect to the internet in safe mode.
2. Update your network driver:
a. In safe mode, open Device Manager.
b. Locate your network device and right-click it.
c. Choose "Update driver" and follow the prompts.
d. Restart your computer and see if you can connect to the internet in safe mode.
3. Use a different network adapter:
a. Buy and use a USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
b. Use a different computer to download the required drivers for the adapter.
c. Connect the adapter to your computer in safe mode and see if you can connect to the internet.
If none of these suggestions help, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance. I hope this helps you!
