In Gnome you can install an extension called "dash to dock" to convert the dash type to the dock type, this feels exactly like it..."taskbar to dock" extension, but looks good though.

From the information I have it is or was planned to be released in 2024.

Well, Windows 10 end of support is October 14, 2025.
So anytime before that is good for me because I want to skip Windows 11.

Have you used for a while and tested Windows 11? I haven't used and tested it yet, so I can't give an opinion based on opinions of what others say. I hope you don't take my point of view wrong.

I would think, like Windows 11, it (Windows 12) would also be heading to the Insiders channel. I got Windows 11 very early, like end of June 2021. I'm in the Beta program now; it remains to be seen whether I'll participate or not. Prob. will, out of curiosity so that will mean switching to DEV.

I love Windows 11. It has been more stable than 10, for me. Restrict telemetry, like with every Windows, and you're good to go.

Same here, never go back to Windows 10 anymore. 11 runs stable and smooth on all my systems here.
Together with Avast Ulimate Security no system impact whatsoever.

Why?

Because Windows 10 works for me quite good so I have no reason for updating to Windows 11.
And if I have to update because of end of support, it makes sense to update only once directly to Windows 12.

I dont want to update. I am quite satisfied with Windows 10.
