Avira 2012 Patch 9 available for testing

We're glad to announce, that Version 2012 Patch 9 is now available in the BetaCenter. For the first time we are offering
the german, english and all localised languages for testing at the same time.

Extracted from the changelog here are the changes we made in Patch 9:

  • Fixed Webguard compatibility issues with "CoCreate OneSpace Model Manager"
  • Fixed crash when inserting custom alert sounds in the configuration center
  • Archives got falsely detected as password protected - this is fixed now
  • Its now possible again to add new configuration profiles for AV 12 in the AMC
  • We changed some warnings and notes in the log files
  • The Scan should no longer crash on Windows 2008 R2 64bit system after its complete.
  • We added an advice when you try to install the AV 12 on Windows 8
  • Fixed an error with the job-system of scheduled product updates.
  • Engine warning for archive bombs are now always reported in the default log level.
  • Fixed an issue with Microsofts "schtasks.exe"
  • Setting "all archive types" scanning option in AMC is now working again
  • Configuration profiles will switch correctly with windows 7
  • After Rescue-CD download is complete, the burning tool will start automatically
  • WebGuard slowed down the Office 15 download and installtion - this is fixed now
  • Changed EULA for Avira / APN Toolbar
  • Changed Version number syntax

To get the latest version, just install the corresponding beta license for your product and trigger a product update at the Control Center's menu: Update -> Product Update or download the Patch 9 installation packages which you can get from our downloads section in the Version 2012 project.
