Can't remove Superfish malware

Hi
I have wifi modem,
it dosnt have a reset button, but was able to accsess
settings online at my internet providers web site
there I was able to "restore default" settings and "reboot"
hasnt chased the ads away
after i had run the zoek and after i made the last post
malwarebytes popped up and said that 2 programs were detected and blocked
both were superfish in chrome
i realised i hadnt disabled malwarebytes when i performed the
zoek thing , i wasnt even aware it was running, not sure if that is a problem?
I did turn off avast and zone alarm tho
will try a restart now after the wifi reset
but am not feeling too hopefull
thanks

Hi
I have a small wifi modem that dosnt have a reset button
but was able to reset it and reboot by visiting my internet providers website
hasnt helped
before i did this malwarebytes popped up and said that there was 2 lines of code it blocked,
both of them superfish and in google chrome
I hadnt been aware I had malwarebytes still running
and not sure how to turn it off, was it necessary to turn it off when i ran Zoek?
Thanks

Please uninstall Chrome, and delete all user data. Then install it again, but do not sign in. Tell me does malwarebytes still reports this behaviour.

Well I dont know what malwarebytes thinks about it but,
unistalling then reinstalling chrome
and not signing in has stopped the advertisments
hope this lets you know whats going on
thanks

Hi
Even before I signed ito google the ads started to creep back
think id tried this before , deleting and reinstalling google chrome
gives a temporary fix
ads back again now
thanks

Hi
Yes the ads disappeared briefly, but did start to come back even before i signed in
they were in full effect again before i signed in to google
thanks

Ok have cleared google chrome sync data,
then i had trouble getting into any google service,
couldnt sign in to gmail
so i deleted chrome and reinstalled
am now signed in and....
no ads
they appear to be gone
am having trouble getting pages to load...
but might be slow internet will check again in the morning
will post again tomorrow
because it had a habit of creeping back
but i must admit i am feeling hopefull this time
THANKS!
=)

Hi
Ads back again this morning
"n80adhostnet. com "
being blocked by malware bytes
clicking within legitimate pages can take me to
bogus survey competition pages,
most text on web pages has underlined words that pop up little ads when cursor goes over them
and 'ad by notification 'banners everywhere
when I clik on a page it often redirects me to a marketing page via something
called akamaihd.net
just the ususual horrible experience now
thanks

before this most recent step, when i had just deleted and reinstalled chrome ,
i noticed that the ads came back before i had signed into google
this was in a previous post before i had cleared synch data
this time i signed in fairly soon after clearing synch data
and reinstalling chrome
so im not sure
thanks

Hi
I dont remember that as an option
but did check the remove browsing history button , it may have said browsing history and all user data
but it was checked
i will try it again

Interestingly malwarebytes popped up again last night with its usual
warning that it had blocked superfish from within chrome
two different chrome exe lines
i just clicked the quarantine button like before
today there is no sign of the ads
hoping it stays like this
i am signed into google
and had been contemplating throwing my laptop through a window
will post again to update whether i am now free of this
thanks

Ads came back next day
so i uninstalled and reinstalled chrome,
then cleared synch data
keeps it at bay for a while
but dont think this will work for long

ads back again
i reinstalled chrome from a different source
i cleared synch data resynched, and chose what to resynch avoiding extensions aps etc
i ran chromes remove unwanted extension program
but is back again
thanks
