I became worried after my event viewer was empty one day and I started getting emails from arch age saying someone is trying to logg on to my account from a new computer. I have malwarebytes premium and avast free and I run the programs posted in that link above weekly. I became worried after my event viewer was missing and I started receiving those emails. prior to getting them I had downloaded an emulator from Emuparadise. I was told the web site was safe and I took measures. I made sure I scanned the files with malwarbytes and avast & hitman pro. I also ran ccleaner registry cleaner &windows clean disk prior to my event viewer missing so that might of caused that problem.

I've never seen an infection on my computer except maybe a few PUPs and cookies, even after downloading that emulator. I would like for you all to tell me if I have any infections on my computer or not. please let me know if I need to provide anymore info.. this is my first time posting.

thanks for your help :)

Hello,

Your PC appears to be in top shape ;)
There is nothing you need to worry about. Empty Event Viewer doesn't need to indicate something bad, it means everything is working ok, and there are no errors.
Please ignore and immediately delete all emails you do not know anything about its content or sender.

Feel free to ask anything you wish.

The Importance of Software Updating:

In order to stay protected it is
very important that you regularly update all of your software. Cybercriminals depend on the apathy of users around software updates to keep their malicious endeavor running.

Operating systems, such as Windows, and applications, such as Adobe Reader or JAVA, are used by tens of millions of computers and devices around the world, making them a huge target for cybercriminals. Downloading updates and installing them can sometimes be tedious, but the advantages you get from the updates are certainly worth it.

Recommended additional software:
icon_arrow.gif
TFC - to clean unneeded temporary files.
icon_arrow.gif
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware - to scan your system from time to time in search for malware.
icon_arrow.gif
Malwarebytes' Anti-Exploit - to prevent plenty of mostly exploited vulnerabilities.
icon_arrow.gif
McShield - to prevent infections spread by removable media.
icon_arrow.gif
CryptoPrevent - to secure yourself from very severe CryptoLocker infection.

Unchecky - to prevent from installing additional foistware, implemented in legitimate installations.

FiheHippo.com Update Checker - to keep your programs up-to-date.

Adblock - to surf the web without annoying ads!

Post-cleanup procedures:

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the tool by right click on the

icon and Run as administrator option.
  • Make sure that these ones are checked:
    • Remove disinfection tools
    • Purge system restore
    • Reset system settings
  • Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
  • All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)
The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
