We are excited to announce that COMODO Internet Security/Antivirus/Firewall 8.2.0.4508 is released !

Existing CIS 6.x, CIS 7x and CIS 8.x users will receive an automatic update in few weeks.

• Possibility to define custom file rating in parallel with Comodo rating

• During first update of AV database in Quick Scan, 'COMODO Internet Security has stopped working' message appears.
• File is launched out of Sandbox after copy from 'temp' folder to the Desktop
• LNK-file can execute any program with trusted installer's privileges
• Interpreters are not recognized by path

I saw that. But based on chatter I'd heard, it sounded like there would be a new AV engine coming. It appears based on this change log they may be made an improvement.

Yes, AV databse is so big I see no problem on performance actually.

These files are not present in hard disk, still it is in the file list. It will take very long time to do this manually.

It's gone, and done so deliberately. Someone or other over on the Comodo Forums tried to justify the decision to purge the Purge from CIS and CF, but it just sounded like jive to me.

Hi viktik,

File list is not just a file list anymore. It is a DB contains a lot information for a file including activities. So that it should be kept even file does not exists anymore.

We would appreciate receiving your recommendation for this case ?
