I'm helping someone fix this problem, but to no avail. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I've held the computer about a week to 2 weeks already. Used the normal scans: AVG and Malwarebytes. Didn't clear the dllhost * 32 virus. I've attached the FRST log and the Addition's log. Hard to do anything on this computer, so hope I don't need to do anything else as of now. Took me half an hour on this computer to be able to do this. The computer is bogged down due to the processes and also changes Internet Explorer's privacy settings, so once it starts, I can't download or do certain stuff until I temporary kill the process which takes a while to find the main process (?). Let me know if anything else is needed. Thanks!

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:
  • At the top of your post, please click on the "Watch thread" button and make sure to check Watch this thread...and receive email notifications. This will send an email to you as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing me to solve your problem faster.
  • Please do not install any new software during the cleaning process other than the tools I provide for you. This can hinder the cleaning process. Please do not perform System Restore or any other restore.
  • Instructions I give to you are very simple and made for complete beginner to follow. That's why you need to read through my instructions carefully and completely before executing them.
  • Please do not run any tools other than the ones I ask you to, when I ask you to. Some of these tools can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, if you use a tool that I have not requested you use, it can cause false positives, thereby delaying the complete cleaning of your machine.
  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using
    fjqb1h.png
button below. Doing this, you make it easier for me to analyze and fix your problem.

  • Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay someone to repair it.
  • If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

Not sure if this is normal, but after running ComboFix with the CFScript.txt, it restarted the computer. After logging back in to the affect user account, a command prompt pops up numerously and closes itself. I can't exactly see what the title of the command prompt is as it opens and closes itself diagonally. This has been happening for over 5 hours. I can't really do anything while this is running.

I opened the task manager and now I'm unable to even click anything, since the command prompt is actively running taking precedence over other actions. I'm going to leave the computer on overnight and see what happens. Hopefully it will prompt me a log file.

I have not ran Farbar Recovery Scan with the attached fixlist.txt yet, since ComboFix doesn't appear to be finished running yet. I suspect and it looks like that command prompt is from ComboFix.

After leaving the computer overnight and day, this CMD is still popping up endlessly. I see in the task manager this process: pev.3xe * 32. On the command prompt title bar it says C:\ComboFix\pev.3xe. As I mentioned before, it keeps opening a new command after closing the previous one. If you open the command prompt one after another, it typically offsets diagonally, until it gets too low and starts opening from the top left again.

This started happening after running ComboFix with the CFScript.

Please advise. It is really unusable. I notice when I run something as administrator it activates the dllhost * 32...

Please advise. Thanks.

I restarted twice last night and logged back into the user account and the command prompts begins to pop up again.

I'll try again tonight.

Is it because I have multiple user accounts on this computer.

There is the admin account and this infected user account. I don't think the admin is affected though.

edit:
I've just restarted the computer and logged in again. The problem still exists. Now I have the command problem along with the dllhost too. I can't type anything since the command prompt is active. I actually did the fix for FarBar, but now I'm unable to retrieve it, nor the dllhost is gone.

I'd like to note, it's difficult to shut down. I have to quickly press the Windows button on the keyboard and spam my mouse to eventually to be able to click on the shutdown button to shut down.

This is weird. I decided to login to the Admin account. When I logged in, ComboFix popped up and finished what it had to do and produced a log file, which I've attached. The infected account is the normal user however. I'll try logging into the normal account and see if that ComboFix command will pop up anymore. I'll give an update a bit later. I'll also attach the FarBar logs after I rerun it on the infected account.

edit:
Please see attached for Fixlog.txt too.

It appears that the dllhost has disappeared. But how can I be sure this computer is clear of all the viruses? Should I be running something in both the Admin and User account?

You should always run these tools from Admin account.
