Firemin

One of the biggest “improvements” that Mozilla claims is the Firefox memory usage, in particular, the vanquishing of memory leaks. Although Firefox memory usage improved a little over the last few years, it still uses a lot of memory; a little more than I feel comfortable with.
Memory Leaks

We like keeping our apps running for a few days (that’s just the way I roll) and because of this Firefox was using over ~800MB of memory after about 3 days. It’s quite normal for Firefox to be sucking up over 200MB of memory right off the bat. In a memory leak you’ll see the memory usage keep increasing the longer the program is open/in-use and this is exactly what happens with Firefox.
Enter Firemin

Firemin Options
Rather than complain about it, we decided to fix it. Enter Firemin; simply put, it will attempt to eliminate Firefox memory leaks and decrease the amount of memory Firefox uses. All I did was tweak our Memory Booster a little and applied it to Firefox (including Firefox extensions) and all the memory leaks was gone.
Firemin vs. Windows Memory Management

Windows will also periodically scan running processes and tell them to release their unused memory. You could argue that this makes Firemin unnecessary, and you would be spot on. However, It is my opinion that Windows does not clean out memory as often as I would like it to. Firemin runs the clean memory API call a few times per second.
The method Firemin uses to decrease Firefox memory usage is not proven and the debate over if it works or not will go on until the end of time, but the logic remains; if it works for you, use it and if it does not, don’t use it. It is really that simple.

Note: If you are tired from memory leak of Firefox, or You are tired of Google Chrome ram consumption. Then use Firefox with Firemin. This is what I do, I just want to suggest this to you my friends. You will like it and you will be surprised about performance. I edited my tip here.

@ng4ever oh yes Firemin works just fine.
Firemin is reducing the RAM usage of Firefox as promised.
Right now i have Cyberfox x64 on my system and after a while i was seeing a high ram usage, more than 500 mb.
I decided to install Firemin and suddenly ram is down by a lot.
Firemin does what it promises but i have to tweak the settings to bring it closer to my needs.

See, now the only issue I have with this, is how much memory is
Firemin using, when you add what firemin uses to what was saved the margin closes.
I am going to DL this and run some numbers. Thanks yigido

I ran this with FF, and noticed that you can use it to start FF, I do this by unchecking the
"Start with Windows" option, and checking "Start FF when FireMin starts" (See SS below)
Also I noticed it runs more smooth set at (1000ms) it seems more natural and easy on the browser.
Here is a SS of what I mean:

With those settings now FireMin is only started when I need it to, and I can
close it after I close FF ;)
**Also you can now launch FF by using the FireMin Icon
***I may adjust the MB usage a little higher too, to something like 30 or 50 if
not it may cause issues with watching videos ?.

@_CyberGhosT_ you are correct about your observations and here are my settings
so you can do a quick comparison with yours.

I chose this settings because Cyberfox runs smoother;)

Yep, the only dif is that I am running mine at every 1000ms.
I think that both are pretty close to optimum for this lil app ;)
Hopefully this helps any users that decide to employ FireMin.
Thanks
**I noticed too that VT gives it the all clear

I choose to reduce memory every 9000 ms because in that setting Firemin uses less cpu.
If you leave at default settings you will see that FF/Cyberfor isn't using to much ram but Firemin does some cpu spikes which i don't like.
In the end i don't mind a bit high ram usage to avoid cpu spikes;)

@TerrakionSmash i saw some speed ups but not by much.
Less lags yes for sure Firemin has helped a lot but you have to find the right balance in Firemin settings for your system.
I should also tell you even now that i am using it for almost a month i still play with the settings to find the best balance.
As for battery i can't tell you because i have it removed from my laptop.
