Anonymous hacktivists appear to have successfully blasted the Formula 1 website off the net, with a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.

The internet attack against www.formula1.com comes just ahead of Bahrain's highly controversial hosting of the Formula 1 Grand Prix this weekend, which is planned to take place despite violent protests in the country.

Anon demand a lot of things, do they really believe that DDOSing a website will force a government to release prisoners and completely change their policing etc ?

Sites back online now anyway lol

Well the problem is even though they provide an information, the way they do it isn't legal and only result of members were arrested.

Just a bunch of would-be famous...useless attacks for useless causes with useless results... they should go return playing at Counter-strike.

I miss the "true hacker" period where penetrating a network was a game of skills and cleverness, not as now where you can use many tools made by others.

Well that pretty much explains what happened to the website yesterday..
Anyway speaking of F1, I'm a die-hard fan of Mercedes AMG Petronas. :D

Denial-of-service (DDoS) attack .....are so lame...... a few hours downtime doesn't mean anything for the webmaster .... And I'm saying webmaster because the actual F1 staff don't even care about it:)
The only ones who got affected by this attack where the fans ,who temporarily couldn't access the site.
@Roti ... Ferrari all the way!:D
