Very good performance as expected from GData.
Unfortunately i still can't use it because my laptop is 7 years old and with GData installed my browsing is slow.

@Moose GData uses Bitdefender and their own which i think is called CloseGap.
As far for the size of the install if i remember correctly it's 300-400 MB.

Gdata is very light and no impact on system.
GDATA is one of the most reliable AV in the world (according to me) along with Norton,EMSI and ESET . It has one of the best behavior blockers in the market .
Kaspersky just failed me, so i think i'm migrating to this one. I'll download a trial and test it. Awsome video by the way. I've seen a few i liked and this one convinced me.

In the past gdata used engine a ( avast ) and b ( bitdefender ) is this program still as heavy as it always was? It used to be a resource hog.
No impact, its light like eset in my opinion

GDATA Antivirus 2016 recommended. Just installed. So much more fluid than Kaspersky, detected four pieces of malware Kaspersky didn't. And i thought i was clean..

@Morvotron i think you haven't downloaded the full standalone installer .It is available in Softpedia and is about 450 mb .On their official website they have a installer whose size is about 220 mb .It is not the full installer .Thats why probably (I am not completely sure) the installation took more time

Fyi. I download on the site not from softpedia, in this test
and installation is pretty quick..
