you shouldn't , better go outside shadow mode , update , then re-enter shadow mode. Every exception you add is a hole in SD protection.

not saying you have too many registry keys and folders to add so it is pointless.
This is the same for Windows Update

Putting the exception mode/commit is technically a little complicated due to the fact it needs to be maintained + accidents may occur if you mistakenly put something that you shouldn't expect. While its a useful feature then put something which are important.
