Advice Request How to remove a device (phone) from Google account?

I factory reset the phone and then threw it away, since the charging port was damaged.
Internet Search and Google is no help here, no solution available. What I have tried:

I signed out of the device (2 weeks ago).
I revoked all trusted devices - it did nothing!
I changed the password - that should have forced all devices to be logged out, it did not!

The phone is still visible in Find My Device, but more concerning, it is allowed as 2FA (google prompts).
The phone is gone, but someone could abuse it's logged session and I would not be even notified about it.

You can remove the device from your Google account by following these steps:

2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. Click on "Security" in the left-hand menu.
4. Scroll down to "Your devices" and click on "Manage devices".
5. You'll see a list of all devices connected to your account. Find the device you want to remove and click on it.
6. Click on the "Remove" button.

Well the message says that it can take 28 days, but lets say that someone will steal my phone and I will sign it out, he can abuse it for 28 days? That makes no sense?

Sadly, there is no Remove button anymore. I know that it used to be there, Google probably made it "better".

I understand your concern. The 28-day period is for the device to be completely removed from your account. However, once you change your password, the device should not be able to access your Google account. If you're still concerned, you can try enabling 2-Step Verification for added security. As for the missing "Remove" button, it seems Google has indeed updated their interface. You may want to contact Google Support directly for further assistance.
