Hi,

I recently took my computer to a professional and he told me my computer was infected with virus. My computer gets frequently scanned by my AntiVirus and other programs so I dont know how it could have been infected and by what it got infected.

Thus, I need your help to remove whatever has infected my computer.

Thank you!

There is some adware present and we will clean it in the next step:

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

    adwcleaner_new.png
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Wait until the database is updated.
  • Accept the Terms of use and click Scan.
  • When finished, please click Clean.
  • Upon completion, click Report. A log (AdwCleaner[S*].txt) will open.

Please include the contents of that file in your reply.

Note: Reports will be saved in your system partition, usually at C:\Adwcleaner

It seems to be working fine except one little thing but I don't know if it is related to adware or malware. I'll ask it here but please disregard it if it has no link.

Whenever I open a Google Chrome window for the first time, it won't allow me to type in the address bar or anywhere else. I have to keep that window open and then open another window to be able to write. I was wondering if that was due to the presence of something interfering with my computer.

Thank you for your help in cleaning my computer!

It already happened once before, I uninstalled it and it worked back. But then, now it happened again so I was wondering if it was due to some third-party agent or something else.
I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it works back.

Thank you for your help!
