What I'm looking for?

Looking for medium feedback.

See answer at BD
But if you have a SSD or Nvme SSd it loads fast (my experience)
It loads immediately for me, if you have fast startup disabled. There used to be a delay even with fast startup disabled for me, but not anymore since almost a year.

I moved away from BD. Perhaps sometime in the future I will try it. But I noticed performance issues which for me was a no go.

Error message : Services can not be started ( AGAIN )

Sorry to hear that man. BD can be strange at least in my experiences with it. Hope Norton works out better for you.

Setting everything aggressive makes it prone to more false positives. So keep that in mind.

I'd suggest than you make a clean image of you OS without any antivirus. Frequently changing AV's can cause problems like this and even if you remove it thoroughly you can never be sure that no remnants are there lurking in your system. Since you installed Norton keep an eye on that Norton disk defragmenter.....it does love to defrag SSD's instead of running TRIM.

About the Bitdefender problem, it is really strange. I never had problems with them on the various hardware that already installed, more as is always repeated here on the forum exhaustively and rightly, each hardware has a different reaction with respect to AV's.

My system is always clean. Norton so far running great ( as usual ) so light.
They comply now to GDPR too. They are improving alot.

It is especially that the antivirus can leave traces on the system (whether files, services etc. ...)

When I uninstall one, I try to find an "uninstaller" and I pass HiBit to remove everything.
But the best thing to do if you tend to change too many antiviruses is to make a clean system image and to start again on a good basis...

Reinstalled the cumputer , same configuration except:

Installed GData Total Security again. Such a waste not to use my 3 years license.
Combined it with Simple Windows Hardening, runs smooth and stablB

Back to Norton360 Deluxe on all machines. My geek feeling loves to play with settings and Norton has alot !
No more Bitdefender engines for now.

You have become the victim of a known contagious MT disease named, "AV hopping" 😄
At the moment, there's no cure for it. Only time may heal it 😆
