MS boasts about the bloat, not the basics of a browser like speed, security, stability, privacy, etc.

They did made a change to security: Microsoft Defender Application Guard, including the Windows Isolated App Launcher APIs, will be deprecated for Microsoft Edge for Business and will no longer be updated. Although they mention Business but the same thing happen to home users as well, MDAG will be removed in future version of Windows.

The basics should be present in all modern browsers, secure by default. It's the useful features (subjective) that sell the browser experience, which is what Microsoft should focus on. Not the negatives.

RendererAppContainer is now enabled by default. (y)

What’s New in Microsoft Edge 120.0 Version

The new version of Microsoft Edge comes with following changes and updates:

  • Copilot Icon in Edge toolbar: Newer versions of Microsoft Edge come with a new Copilot AI icon in the sidebar. If you want to get rid of the new sidebar icon, this article will help you.
  • Edge 3P SERP Telemetry: It captures the searches user does on third party search providers without identifying the person or the device and captures only if the user has consented to this collection of data. User can turn off the data collection using browser settings or by using Edge3PSerpTelemetryEnabled policy. (How-to Disable Guide)
  • RendererAppContainer: To improve security, Microsoft Edge now launches renderer processes into Windows native app container which is enabled by default. If users identify a compatibility issue due to code injection from security software, they can use the RendererAppContainerEnabled policy to disable this new security feature and force Microsoft Edge to not launch the renderer process in an app container.
  • Updated SmartActionsBlockList policy: The SmartActionsBlockList policy is updated with new policy option mappings. Administrators can now configure the policy to control Smart actions like definitions on websites (smart_actions_website) or control Smart actions in pdfs and on websites (smart_actions).
  • Security fixes
  • Bug fixes and improvements
  • New group policies implemented
  • DevTools updates

Had to once again remove "Your browser is managed by your organization" after today's update. I can't count the times this has happened.
I only have the Microsoft Egde Secure Network greyed out but had that for awhile and since I use Teams for work when at home, there's that Work Account added so maybe that's the reason it's greyed out but thankfully, not had the managed issue lately.

Microsoft Edge version 121.0.2277.83 released

Improved reliability

  • Fixed a browser crash in on-premise sync

Dev Channel updates

The following Dev channel updates preceded this Stable channel release. The followng Dev notes provide detailed information about the changes in each release.

Feature updates

  • Enable organizational branding in Edge for Business. Enable your organization's branding assets from Entra onto profile-related UI for profiles signed in with an Entra ID (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) account. You can add your organization's details such as name to the profile pill, name and brand color to the profile flyout, and logo to overlay the Edge for Business taskbar icon. This branding can help users more easily differentiate between multiple profiles and browser windows.
Default organizational branding can be enabled by admins through the following policies:For more information, see Microsoft Edge for Business and Add company branding to your organization's sign-in page.
  • Microsoft Edge migrates the updates experience into Browser Essentials. Getting alerts on available Edge Updates will come from Browser Essentials instead of the Settings page for better visibility and experience. Note: This feature is a controlled feature rollout. If you don't see this feature, check back as we continue our rollout.
  • Added support for AVIF and AV1 file formats. Microsoft Edge now supports the AVIF and AV1 file formats which offer better compression and higher quality images and videos. Users can enjoy faster loading times and better quality media on websites.
  • E-tree in Wallet. Users signed into Microsoft Edge with a personal Microsoft Account (MSA) can grow a virtual seed into a tree with Wallet. Once it's grown, a real tree is planted. Administrators can control the availability using the EdgeWalletEtreeEnabled policy.
  • New Website Typo Protection policies. The built-in Website Typo Protection warns users if it appears there is a mistyped popular domain name which could land users on a malicious webpage. Administrators can control the availability and configure Website Typo Protection by using the PreventTyposquattingPromptOverride and TyposquattingAllowListDomains policies.

Yesterday for the first time I had a situation where Edge's lack of RAM usage was helpful for me in a real-world scenario.
I was using Firefox and had 18 tabs open including 3-4 heavy ones. Then I tried to run my VM and VMWare notified me something like, not enough physical memory is available. Turned out Firefox was using 6 GB of memory.
Opened Edge, loaded all the same tabs, and browsed around all of them and its memory usage was only 2.9 GB. Due to sleeping tabs set to 15 seconds, it quickly became 2.3 GB, and I was able to run my VM without closing any tab (y)
