A bug in the Microsoft Store allowed a few users to purchase Windows 10 Pro for $2, and now it seems that the company won't be locking them out, as their licenses are being activated successfully.

Last month, Neowin forum member Warwagon posted that he could purchase a Windows 10 Prolicense for $2 and the thread soon had responses from other users wondering whether it would be activated once the OS hit RTM. Now, it seems that there is no issue activating, and another user has reported that Microsoft has acknowledged that there was a bug which allowed such purchases from the Windows Store, but that it will be activating the license nonetheless.

With Windows 10, Microsoft has changed its activation policy such that users do not need to enter their product keys, and the licenses are bound to the underlying hardware. According to a a report from ITHome, a user who had purchased the $2 license from the Microsoft Store ran into issues while activating and contacted Microsoft. The company responded positively and asked the user to get back in touch if he couldn't activate it within the next 30 days.

Something must be really wrong with windows 10. Free upgrades to windows 10, 2 dollars only purchases, perhaps win10 is probably the ultimate spying OS ever created by MS? We need someone who really knows about software to give us some info about win10.
