Basic users the most important things:

1. learn how to download files from trusted sources only
2. learn how to browse the web safely
3. learn how to use a secure web browser and keep it updated.
4. how to detect fake alert websites (almost all infections now days come from them)
5. how to detect phishing websites (now is more popular then hacking or exploits)
6. learn how to use a respectful antivirus and know the difference between notifications on it compared to fake alerts.
7. learn how to run Windows Updates and apply them.
8. learn how to keep all of the web software updated.

All I can think of now.

Enjoy!!:D

i quite agree with McLovin selection, and Littlebit inputs are true but never followed by beginners; maybe you should had a category like " Clueless" for people that doesn't fit the basic requirements of Littlebits.
