Sony Pictures has cancelled the planned release on 25 December of the film The Interview, after major cinema chains decided not to screen it.
The film is about a fictional plot to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Earlier, the New York premiere of The Interview was cancelled. Sony says it understands its partners' decision.

"We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theatre-goers."

Has Sony made the right decision to cancel the release of this movie?

The fact that the movie was about killing the Supreme Leader of Korea only makes sony even more bad.

It was a good choice to "scrape" the plot of the movie, but they will probably make another mistake with a new plot that they make.

Well since there was a recent issue happened then definitely they need to put a limit, but as action and comedy film type then surely much funnier than the movie of "The Dictator". :D

However they need to make more fictional since its a sensitive type where the plot goes directly offend the leader of North Korea.
