in south_texasland "desert," the other day I noticed the heat index was 113F (45C) only 50 miles inland from Gulf of Mexico. Oh my god i would outright die after a week of this maybe 3 days.... like no joke.Extreme temperature swings over a 24 hr or less period are fairly routine where I live, mainly during the Winter months. It's not uncommon to get 20 C or more swings, the worst of which are going from typically about +10 C to a frigid -20 C or colder. It's much nicer when we go from cold to warm. Thank goodness for the occasional Chinooks

We are having absolutely beautiful weather right now. Warm enough to break a sweat working in the yard, but not too hot to escape when I’m done. Oh and I can wear shorts all day every day.
