You have to test with ublock on first then turn ublock off and test, and then compare scores.

I assume bigger number is better or 3.3 times better (faster) than mine as spec'ed as described above.

There is no general reference in this context--mainly because there are too many software and hardware variables. You compare your own browser's performance with itself--with some parameter on or off. For example: here are my results. Honestly, I expected a more even performance with uBO on vs. off but it is what it is. Windows 10 | Firefox v. 120.0 | Sandboxie | 98,514 network filters | 128,499 cosmetic filters. The images are uBO OFF and ON respectively. I retested several times and the results were the same.
Again, this was just an errant idea to compare the possible effects of an extension. Subjectively, I don't notice anything different with uBO on or off. So take this with a heaping spoonful of your fave seasoning.

it was a good idea -- I turned ubo off and this time I got 55.6 (maybe a lower score is "better" ) or "about the same" / same as you...

In a clean test profile on Firefox 120 with only uBO (95.727 networkfilters, 46.820 cosmetic filters):
Speedometer:

• 107 with uBO on
• 118 with uBO off

(old Haswell i5 PC; 16GB RAM)

On my Ryzen 5 5600H laptop with hardened Firefox (Arkenfox userjs+overrides); uBO default filterlist + AdGuard Annoyance filters

• With uBO on: 190
• With uBO off: 202

So I don't think one will notice any speed difference even if you have a mediocre cpu of last 3-4 years.

This is what matters more to me than a score on a browser speed test; as long as my browsing speed seems fast enough and hiccup-free, then that's what matters the most.
