If I had the money I'd get myself a Windows phone :) But as of the moment I am using my old Xperia(so I voted or android). Really do not have the money to change as I have my old K800i still performing very good in addition to my Xperia. But then again if I have the money and if someone would play Santa Claus to me I'd wish to have a Windows phone!!!! Any Santa's out there........ :) :) :)

If you don't need to customize your smartphone ... then take Windows Phone.

Windows Phone 8.1 is customisable. You can choose a background image for the Start and Lock Screen, or alternatively choose a background app for your Lock Screen. Lumia's that support Glance, can have additional information shown on their Glance screen, ie. Weather.

start+theme (choose either a dark (black) or light (white) background and range of accent colours). If you use Windows 8.1 on PC, this can be optionally synced to match your experience. WP8.1 introduced the choice to show more tiles, which can be toggled on/off, depending on preference. There's an app in beta on the WP Store that demonstrates more lock screen features.

I'm going to Android since its a popular OS and more features/ apps you can use.

Considered to be an entertainment purpose Operating system.

But for your case considered on Windows Phone since its simple and less worries + the specs of the smartphone will be faster.
