Solved Windows Security Center can't be started

Hello, my problem here is that i can't start the Windows Security Center. I think i have some kind of malware that is causing this to happen. I tried alot of fixes from the internet, the microsoft site, but none of them worked. I also did the things you said in this thread: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/malware-removal-guide-for-windows/ , but again nothing. I think that because of this malware my PC starts to get alot slower and i get huge fps drops in games that normally my pc can run great.

Before we start please read and note the following:

  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using

That being told, if any evidence of illegal OS, software, cracks/keygens or any other will be revealed, any further assistance will be suspended. If you are aware that there is this kind of stuff on your machine, remove it before proceeding!
The same applies to any use of P2P software: uTorrent, BitTorrent, Vuze, Kazaa, Ares... We don't provide any help for P2P, except for their removal. All P2P software has to be uninstalled or at least fully disabled before proceeding!

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • Install the progam and select update.
  • Once updated, click the Settings tab, in the left panel choose Detection & Protection and tick Scan for rootkits.
  • Click the Scan tab, choose Threat Scan is checked and click Scan Now.
  • If threats are detected, click the Apply Actions button. You will now be prompted to reboot. Click Yes.
  • Upon completion of the scan (or after the reboot), click the History tab.
  • Click Application Logs and double-click the Scan Log.
  • At the bottom click Export and choose Text file.
Save the file to your desktop and include its content in your next reply.

This is a very powerful tool that should be used only if advised by Malware Analyst.
Do not run ComboFix on your own!

Referring to this instruction, please download ComboFix by sUBs and save it to your desktop.
Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.

  • Right-click on

    Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Accept the disclaimer and agree if prompted to install Recovery Console.
  • Do not take any actions while ComboFix goes through your System - it may cause it to stall!
  • This scan may take some time!
  • When finished - it will display a logfile (located also on your main drive, usually C:\ComboFix.txt).

Include that log in your next reply.

But i got another problem, saying that i can't update Windows. When i press to install 120 updates (91 optional and 29 important) it gives me this error: 80243004
 
And am i free to uninstall all the softwares downloaded till now? Or i have to keep them?
 
Let's make one more scan:

Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
  • Make sure the following options are checked:
    • Internet Services
    • Windows Firewall
    • System Restore
    • Security Center/Action Center
    • Windows Update
    • Windows Defender
  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Windows Update error 0x80243004
Applies to Windows 7


If you receive Windows Update error 0x80243004 when Windows Update checks for new updates, the error means that the notification icon for Windows Update has disappeared. This prevents Windows Update from installing new updates. Follow these instructions to show the icon and continue installing updates.

To show the Windows Update icon
  1. In the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar, click the Show hidden icons button, and then click Customize.

  2. In Notification Area Icons, under Icons, scroll down to find Windows Update, click the drop-down list next to it, clickShow icon and notifications, and then click OK.

  3. Go to Windows Update and check for updates again.

I can't find Windows Update there. And i have "Always show all icons and notfications on the taskbar" ticked and it still doesn't work.
