Thanks, you are a life saver! I got hit with this the weekend before exams and there would be no way I could get all my homework done with an infected computer! Still, I wonder how it got on my computer.
I was on my computer doing homework when Mozilla Firefox updated itself without prompt. My computer then restarted, but when it booted back up I got a blue screen of death repeatedly. When I entered safe mode I saw this program, etc. It was pretty obvious to me that this was faked since I never installed it and my computer was bought in 2011 (2013 anything impossible to be prebundled.) But how did the virus get there? I didn’t install anything or do anything weird. I had my browser open and was reading an ebook with Adobe reader and that’s it. And the reader wasn’t even open in the browser. Is there some new windows 7 vulnerability we should be aware of?
