It was not necessary to clean any threats during this test since "nothing" (according to the MBAM and Hitman Pro results) so I could not tell you how it would perform removing threats on the system. Personally I believe malware-removal tools are much more dependable than relying on the antivirus itself to clean an infected system. Using bootable cd's/dvd's for malware removal are usually suitable for the job better than the antivirus alone, as antivirus are designed to offer more proactive defense. If an infection never makes it past the anti-virus/anti-malware installed on the system, what needs to be removed?
