One update per day, keeps the viruses away.
I mean version update is so frequent.

What about RAM usage? (Bitdefender enabled)
Is it still on 150 - 200MB? (at least to my machine it was that huge)

I know this really stinks!!!! I thought i was the only one but i guess not. They really need to solve this issue.

Use only avira engine if you want low RAM usage.

I'm on performence mode but honoustly it doesn't really mather (real world impact wise) versus say security mode (maxed out).
