I finally finished testing, perhaps one of the most wanted / most widely used security software - 360 Total Security.
360TS has done a great job and successfully protect PC users and only where I was a little disappointed is the protection of Adware/PUP.

Here is quick summary:

=== GOOD ===

- small size installer (about 32MB)
- fast installation (about 40 sec)
- nice, simple, clean & easy interface
- not slow down boot time
- low RAM usage (about 35MB)
- only 2 process
- don't take much space on HDD (about 125MB)
- not slow down boot time after adding Avira/Bitdefednder engine
- keylogger detection test
- not so bad self defence (one process killed by Process Hacker)
- phishing URL 10/10 (100%)
- malware URL 11/15 (73%)
- fast scanning and removal of malware files
- malware folder 668/707 (94.48%)
- good heuristic

=== BAD ===

- time to install other engine (Avira/Bitdefender) - about 4min
- occupation HDD after adding Avira/Bitdefender engine is greater (about 775MB)
- RAM usage is high after adding Avira/Bitdefender engine (about 160MB)
- PUP protection (synthetic test)
- 4 malware download from internet made quite a mess (Adware/PUP)
- not so good Adware/PUP detection

360 Total Security - Part 1 (Installation i First Look)

360 Total Security - Part 2 (Synthetic Test)

360 Total Security - Part 3 (Malware & Phishing Test)

Are these things not important? To me Adware /PUP's are very important. How many times will I get hit with 100's of viruses?
More likely I'll get hit with PUP's if my brain stops working. MBAM now finds PUP's. Mbam and MSE in real time is all I need.
Thanks for your video's. They were very interesting.;):rolleyes:

I agree little bit with you but Adware/PUP will not made a lot critical damage to do OS

Yes Sir! I hear what you're saying, but they sure slow your OS down and redirect your home page. Give you pop-ups and cause you grief.
I see PUP's all the time here at Golden Oaks! I just cleaned one up that had 1200 PUP's. The lady asked me how that could happen. I jokingly told her by visiting porn sites. Then I told her by clicking on unknowns and down loading programs. I installed MBAM on her PC and WOT on her IE browser. Removed Chrome as it was badly infected. Suggested she install Firefox and add WOT to it. I see the ASK tool bar and many more installed on PC's here. I have seen as many as 6 tool bars. JRT gets rid of most of those. I'm not trained in malware, but I'm no stranger to it and I hold my own here in my retirement Village.
Thanks for responding to my reply. I'm always ready to learn new things! I don't understand all those filters and clouds and my computer vocabulary isn't very good, but I-Get-er-Done.;)
PS Here's what JRT removes and as it says many more and they up date.

Great job, thanks.

Which how soft free do you complementary it for have a really efficient defense?

Maybe a firewall type Onliner Armor or Comodo free firewall, or Xvirus type program ...
What do you recommend me ?
Thanks again for this excellent work

If you want firewall then Comodo or PrivateFirewall.
Free AV: AVG, AVAST, 360TS/IS, Baidu, Panda...
Put some adblocker on browser (Adguard/Adblock).
You can also add a CryptoPrevent - Group Policy based settings for protection against various types of malware but primarily Ransomware / Cryptolocker

Most antiviruses disable PUP' detection by default, because it could lead to more false positives. Many softwares in the freeware world are sponsored by these PUP's:- even antiviruses like Avast, AVG, Panda included :D The end-point user is the one to decide whether they want to install the software or not.

Excellent point regarding Qihoo vs Junkware. It is indeed poor (although surprisingly getting better). That's why I would suggest adding Comodo Firewall to the mix (HIPS off, Sandbox on). The sandbox contains any adware/junkware that I've come across.
