[QUOTE="donetao, post: 323025, member: 27614"] Yes Sir! I hear what you're saying, but they sure slow your OS down and redirect your home page. Give you pop-ups and cause you grief. I see PUP's all the time here at Golden Oaks! I just cleaned one up that had 1200 PUP's. The lady asked me how that could happen. I jokingly told her by visiting porn sites. Then I told her by clicking on unknowns and down loading programs. I installed MBAM on her PC and WOT on her IE browser. Removed Chrome as it was badly infected. Suggested she install Firefox and add WOT to it. I see the ASK tool bar and many more installed on PC's here. I have seen as many as 6 tool bars. JRT gets rid of most of those. I'm not trained in malware, but I'm no stranger to it and I hold my own here in my retirement Village. Thanks for responding to my reply. I'm always ready to learn new things! I don't understand all those filters and clouds and my computer vocabulary isn't very good, but I-Get-er-Done.;) PS Here's what JRT removes and as it says many more and they up date.
