Are you ready for Jar-Jar Binks in 3D? If yoosa can't wait, Lucasfilm has good news for you - Episode 1 of the Star Wars saga in 3D is due in February 2012.
Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox announced Thursday that the 3D theatrical launch of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace will be released on Feb. 10, 2012.
"Supervised by Industrial Light & Magic, the meticulous conversion is being done with utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions," StarWars.com announced.
Lucasfilm claims that the pod races, the encounters with Darth Maul, and other scenes of the film are "perfectly suited to the immersive 3D theatrical experience".
