What's new after 7-Zip 9.36 beta:

• Some bugs were fixed.
• There are some changes in source code for better compatibility with GCC compiler.
• The BUG in 9.26-9.36 was fixed:
• Some code in CPP\7zip\Archive\7z\ worked correctly only under Windows.
• The bugs were fixed in tar and nsis code.
• Minor change in LZMA decoding source code.

Rar 5.0 extraction can be supported by any program. Rarlab made the specs available to anyone who want to implement this functionality to their program.

Even Igor Pavlov said he's planning to add rar 5 extraction supoprt to 7-zip. That was unfortunately back in May 2013.
