This product is just a helper to your real-time AV, it is not a full Anti-Virus product.

Just because it didn't do well on that set of samples doesn't mean the product has poor detection or the other features are not helpful.

Was all of the malware in that set of samples verified to active and in the wild? or were most of them just remote zero-day malware that most users would never come in contact with?

Also a new version was just released today which includes improvements in detection.

Enjoy!! :D

We already have this excellent Malwarebytes Anti Malware for that purpose, don't we ?

Where I say that other features aren't helpful?

What engine does this use?
Judging by the signatures names I think this is their own engine.

note about the pack used (i.e #52) : some (at least 10 or so) were 2 days old, and globally very well covered by almost all AVs.

With that score on the malware pack and with this being a relatively new or unheard of software I would choose other better proven software for the purpose of antimalware. But thanks for the share Littlebits.

How about testing the product on older samples? A lot of vendors don't necessarily do well with fresh malware.

I just installed it and I'm very impressed with it.

Apparently some of you don't know how to test this product properly.

The on-demand signature scan is just one of its features which might not do as well as its real-time protection. When a process is started it uploads it to its cloud scanner and checks it. Even though the on-demand scanner may not detect the malware, the real-time protection can still block suspicious processes it will pop up an alert to submit the process and suggest you to block it until it can be examined. It is kind of like an anti-executable.

It includes a Process Inspector which can kill malicious processes, Startup Inspector, Windows Service Inspector, System Repair, Enhanced Uninstaller, ARP Bundle which can protect against ARP attacks, Network Monitor which can kill connections and many other helpful tools.

I'm sorry but MBAM does have all the features this product has and the free version offers no real-time protection.

I can't believe some of you will automatically assume a product is no good based upon just one on-demand scan of a malware sample pack.

Actually test the protect against live samples and the other features and you might get the full picture.

One thing I did not like about this product is it tries to disable UAC, which I do not allow it to do.

Enjoy!! :D

The only thing to do is wait for some trusted youtube testers to put it through it's paces, in fact I'll go ask one of them right now :) Thanks again Littlebits.

Airy products were removed from Softpedia.

All of them except for Bplan Data Recovery - Free. All of the rest are gone.

http://www.airyantispyware.com/company.htm

Softpedia uses several AV engine scanners and one of them might have flagged a false positive. Softpedia is very strict about malware, remember the Comodo incident?

Must contact the vendor- Support@airyantispyware.com to find out why.

Thanks. :D
