Can you clean the browser cache and cookies? I had a similar problem a long time ago, and that appeared to fix it.

On Google Chrome
Setting > Show advanced settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data

Check the following:
- Cookies and other site and plugin data
- Cached images and files
Now close Chrome. And open it again. See if that fixed your problem.

An easier alternative is to use applications like Ccleaner to clean the cache and cookies. If you do, it might help to reboot your computer after using Ccleaner. Hope this helps.

I used to get black screen and if its cause is the same, you can fix it by turning off hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash.

Only occurring in my VM's surprisingly don't understand that... Main system its working fine VM's I was getting the same thing. Was strange, but I believe it was a google server issue. Since it was quickly fixed. Though I've read of video malware and image malware it does exist, but that is not it!

And Sana this was nothing like the black screen issue: it was a rather strange issue I hadn't seen before. Its possible that several servers crashed, they have since been fixed as far as I can tell.

That's funny frog I didnt actually read the posts you linked to until after I posted :D Was just a good educated guess.

I found what causes this problem.

It is adblock plus.
When I turned off the adblock plus, everything is fine.

The google makes the youtube pages such that the users who use adblock plus cannot see videos.

Yep some videos just don't play well with privacy and protection oriented addons/browsers, I am forced to believe youtube/google have rigged them in some way(LSOs maybe), best example I can think of is Epic browser having some problems with specific and 'popular' videos. But hey if flash won't work you can always try html5 as default player in your preferred browser : www.youtube.com/html5
