Android games asking for root permission

Hey there!
I have noticed over the past few months that more and more android games ask me to be granted root permissions. This is certainly a red warning flag.
Does anyone have any reason what so ever, that a game would need root?
And does anyone know why this is happening?

Are you running a Rooted Android device of your own?

Check Settings > Security > Device Administrator for any suspicious apps.

According to the Play Store information, this app requires the following permissions:

Identity

• find accounts on the device

Photos / Media / Files

• modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
• read the contents of your USB storage

Other

• full network access
• view network connections
• prevent device from sleeping

From the basic knowledge of root, you must think twice or many times if the root must needed.

In my experience, games must not have administrative privilege as it does not connect to have deep kernel functions in the system. (AFAIK)
