Apple's questionable App Store policies strike again, and this time, it's a German security researcher who saw his iOS security app banned from the App Store after Apple said it was providing "inaccurate and misleading" information.

The app, called System and Security Info, was removed over the weekend. The app was published last week, listed on the iOS App Store, and Stefan Esser, its developer, claims Apple removed it after a trivial bugfix update.

Apple initially approved the app, then removed it during a later update.

Good call by Apple if the app actually was inaccurate and misleading. IMO that's not " trival ", that's taking care of it's customers and not brown nosing a developer.

But still why wait until like the fourth review to remove it? If it was truly bad or misleading shouldn't they have remove it initially?

Only Apple themself can answer on that but personal I still think they did the correct call and removed it as it's normaly always better late then never and also better safe then sorry etc etc.

I think if apple want's to remove it then it is only fair that they should at least develop an app that does provide accurate readings because clearly people want the app to be a reality and apple should provide more info to people who want it.
