Attempting to remove MySearchDial

I was attempting to update by Java on my wife's computer and did not watch the name of the download site closely enough.

All her browsers have been taken over by MySeaechDial

Ran search on this site and found recommendation to run Zoek. Have done so but not certain what to do with tht information (attached)

First, go to Control Panel and uninstall following:
- Java 7 Update 25
- Adobe Reader X (10.1.9)


Latest version available here --> http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
Make sure to uncheck optional offers.

Check Java and found only Java 7 Update 51 7/1/2013 was installed. Ran update anyway and verified I had the most current version

Deleted Adobe Reader X (10.1.9) and installed Adobe Reader X (10.1.4)

Ran Zoek. File attached.

Anything more"?

Latest Adobe Reader is XI 11.0.06. Please check do you have this version installed and remove older.

I uninstalled Adobe Reader 10.1.4 and went back to the Adobe site. It offered 10.1.4 or 9.5. Checked on other versions. Apparently 11.0.06 requires at least Window 7.

Everythink looks fine now.

• The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

Remove disinfection tools

Create registry backup

Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

My Adobe Reader just updated Adobe Reader X (10.1.4) and reinstalled the Adobe Reader X (10.1.9) which you had me delete this morning.

Does this indicate a remainng problem?

I guess I was just spooked by the automatic upgrade back to Adobe Reader X (10.1.9)
