Others vendors don't have to rush since their fanboys don't spam the forum everyday asking when the new version will be released

That is very true but on the other hand their fanboys are the only ones that use their products therefore they have to try to keep them happy or they will loose them and have no users.

It is better for a software vendor to take their time and get all of the bugs and vulnerabilities worked out before releasing new versions. Of coarse with Comodo, they use their fanboys as testers because their products are always like beta releases.

Vulnerabilities are just more than a circumstances to make the product a better caused if no one managed to trace for the holes more risk when its not updated.
