Avast has just released its 2016 line of security products, and the biggest change compared to previous years is the addition of a free password manager to aid users in protecting their online identities.

The Avast 2016 line is made up of Avast Free Antivirus 2016, Avast Pro Antivirus 2016, Avast Internet Security 2016, and Avast Premier 2016. Additionally, the Avast Mobile Security has also received a redesign.

The highlight of this release train is the addition of a password manager, for both desktop and mobile security products.

"While people are rightfully concerned about privacy, there is a disconnect between that concern and the steps they take to protect themselves," says Vince Steckler, Avast's CEO. "Users have a multitude of devices and passwords to keep track of, which can be overwhelming. When users feel overwhelmed, they tend to default to unsafe practices that put their privacy at risk."

The new password manager encrypts passwords and stores them on Avast's online cloud. It can also generate stronger passwords for users, and even checks online for leaked passwords and warns you about similarities between them and your passwords.

For Avast's premium versions, SafeZone Browser is also included, creating a secure session for all online shopping, payment, and banking websites.

You can download the free version of Avast via Softpedia (Mac and Windows), and you can buy the premium versions from Avast's website. Avast Mobile Security is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices. The Avast Password Manager is also available for iOS.

Avast is too generous on those features which someties other components that may considered unnecessary by some users input.

However the good thing it can increase more users to the AV since password manager as example can be handy at any cases.
